HONDO, Texas — Emergency crews extricated a trapped passenger following a three-vehicle crash early Friday morning, February 6th, near the intersection of Highway 90 and State Highway 173.

Just after 5:30 a.m., Medina County Fire/EMS Station 60 from Hondo and Station 30 from Community EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews determined that one of the three occupants remained trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters used specialized extrication techniques to quickly remove the passenger-side door, allowing medics to access and treat the patient.

All three occupants were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
