BANDERA, TX – In response to recent devastating floods in neighboring communities, the City of Bandera will conduct a test of its outdoor warning siren system on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m.
The test aims to ensure the siren system is fully functional and capable of alerting residents to immediate threats such as floods or severe weather. No action is required by the public during the brief test.
City officials emphasized the importance of emergency preparedness, particularly following severe flooding in Kerr County and along the Guadalupe River. While Bandera County was also impacted by recent storms, the city is taking proactive steps to improve emergency communication.
Residents can expect to hear the siren's distinct sound during the midday test. The city will provide additional updates regarding future tests and emergency protocols in the coming weeks.
