In a strategic move to bolster community safety and communication, Gillespie County and the City of Fredericksburg have joined forces with CivicReady, an integrated technology provider for local government solutions. The CivicReady mass notification system, offered by CivicPlus, will empower local authorities to disseminate urgent notifications, emergency instructions, warnings, and routine communications promptly.

Subscribed citizens and visitors will receive notifications via email, text message, and voice alerts, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient reach. The system aims to keep the community well-informed and secure by delivering immediate, actionable information in the event of local emergencies.

CivicReady is an integral part of the CivicPlus Platform, a suite of local government technology solutions designed exclusively for the public sector. Justin Calhoun, Emergency Management Coordinator, expressed enthusiasm about the implementation, stating, "This technology will enable anyone who lives in the community, as well as those visiting, to receive emergency alerts and community notifications that may impact them and/or their families."
