An off-duty San Antonio Police Officer, Eric Duffin, was arrested on the 1700 Block of Evans Rd in Far North Central San Antonio on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after officers responded to a minor single vehicle crash at the location.
During their investigation, officers noticed signs of intoxication leading to the arrest of Officer Duffin. The veteran officer, assigned to North Patrol, has been with the San Antonio Police Department for 16 years.
In response to the incident, Officer Duffin will be immediately temporarily suspended without pay. Both criminal and administrative investigations are underway by the San Antonio Police Department to address the situation.
