SAN ANTONIO, TX — Louis Beltran has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for aggravated robbery following a conviction in the 187th District Court, with Judge Stephanie Boyd presiding.
The charges stem from a 2023 incident at Sugar Leaf Smoke Shop, where Beltran held a store employee at gunpoint, forced her to the ground, and restrained her with zip-ties. He stole more than $3,000 in merchandise and cash before fleeing.
Due to prior convictions, including weapon violations, unauthorized vehicle use, and drug possession, Beltran’s sentence was enhanced.
Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Meghan Galloway and Jason Garrahan led the prosecution with support from Victim Advocate Rosalinda Perez and Investigator Donald Walters.
Beltran accepted the 30-year sentence during proceedings earlier this week.
