The Uvalde Police Department has provided details on the arrests made during the course of their activities on Friday, January 4, 2024.
In the early hours of the morning, at approximately 2:45 A.M., officers responded to a residence on the 200 block of South Bates Street regarding a family disturbance. Following an investigation, Felix Rubio, 41 years old, was arrested. Rubio faces charges of assault causing bodily injury to a family member (Class A Misdemeanor) and resisting arrest (Class A Misdemeanor).
Later in the day, around 6:20 P.M., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Silvestre St. and South Evans St. in response to an incident involving the slashing of someone else's vehicle tire. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Mark Adam Arriola, 35 years old, on charges of aggravated robbery (First Degree Felony), interference with an emergency request for assistance (Class A Misdemeanor), and criminal mischief >= $750<$2500 (Class A Misdemeanor).
At approximately 8:01 P.M., the Uvalde Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the 100 block of East Oak St. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Juan Jose Noriega, 39 years old, charged with driving while license invalid with previous convictions (Class B Misdemeanor) and possession of drug paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor). Additionally, Jennifer Nicole Gaitan, 32 years old, was arrested and faces charges of possession of a controlled substance PG 1/1-B>= 4g<200g (Second Degree Felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor).
All arrested individuals were transported to the Uvalde County Justice Center, where they were confined pending further legal proceedings.
