During the early morning hours of Thursday, November 30th, 2023, the Shavano Park Police Department responded to a surge in calls reporting vehicle burglaries. As of the latest update, officers are actively investigating up to 6 potential vehicle break-ins that occurred around 5 a.m. in the Warbler Way, Broken Bough, and Arrow Mound areas of Shavano Park.
The reported suspects are believed to be involved in a possible blue Ford Focus, with eyewitnesses suggesting up to 3 individuals, all appearing to be juveniles.
A cause for concern is the apparent trend of unlocked vehicles being targeted. Most of the burglarized vehicles were left unlocked, emphasizing the importance of securing personal property.
