In a verdict reached on Thursday, September 21, 2023, a Travis County jury convicted Christian Andres Lozano, 50, of charges including Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact and Sexual Assault of a Child. The trial proceedings began on Monday, September 18, 2023, with jury selection, followed by testimonies starting on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Mr. Lozano, arrested by Travis County Sheriff’s Office deputies on August 21, 2021, was initially charged with Sexual Assault of a Child. Later, on April 25, 2023, he was indicted for additional offenses, including Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact, five counts of Sexual Assault of a Child, and three counts of Prohibited Sexual Conduct with Ancestor/Descendant.

After thorough deliberation, the jury found Mr. Lozano guilty of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact and three counts of Sexual Assault of a Child. Sentencing is scheduled to take place at a later date.
