Seguin Police Seize Over $550,000 Worth of Cocaine, Cash, and Firearm in Traffic Stop

In a significant operation, the Seguin Police Department's Criminal Apprehension and Street Enforcement Unit (C.A.S.E) made a substantial drug bust today. At approximately 11:29am, a K9 officer conducted a routine traffic stop on a GMC pickup near the 1800 block of IH 10 East.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered more than 13 kilograms of cocaine, a substantial amount of US currency, and a firearm. The seized narcotics have an estimated street value of over $550,000.

Following the discovery, 35-year-old Homar Lopez from Hidalgo was taken into custody. He was transported to the Guadalupe County Jail, where he was booked on charges of Manufacturing/Delivery of Controlled Substance PG 1 (> 400G) and Unlawful Carry Firearm.
