Shavano Park Police successfully arrested a long-time fugitive on October 2nd after receiving a tip about their whereabouts. Acting on the information, officers surveilled a local business in the 3400 block of Paesanos Parkway where the suspect was expected to arrive. The individual, who had been evading law enforcement for an extended period, had numerous outstanding warrants for their arrest.
Upon confirming the suspect's identity and the validity of the active warrants, plainclothes officers discreetly monitored the location. When the suspect arrived, law enforcement officials took the individual into custody without any confrontation.
During a subsequent search, officers found the suspect in possession of suspected narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia. The individual was transported to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, faces multiple charges, including felony charges for burglary of a habitation, possession of controlled substances, unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft, credit/debit card abuse, fraud, and unauthorized absence from a correctional facility. In total, the suspect had 12 outstanding warrants from Travis County.
