KERRVILLE, Texas - A Kerrville woman was arrested after police say she struck a 90-year-old woman and her 71-year-old son while driving in a McDonald's parking lot Monday.
Jessica Patterson, 43, of Kerrville, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Kerrville police responded Aug. 31 to the McDonald's at 600 Sidney Baker St. after receiving a report of a crash involving two pedestrians in the parking lot.
The 90-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to a San Antonio hospital for treatment. Police said she was in stable condition.
Her 71-year-old son was also injured. Emergency medical personnel treated him at the scene, and he was released without being taken to a hospital.
Police evaluated Patterson at the scene before taking her into custody. She has been charged with DWI 2nd and 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Her bond has been set at $110,000.
Court records show two previous arrests for Patterson. She was arrested in February 2024 and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 between 1 and 4 grams. She was also arrested on July 12, 2026 and charged with DWI 2nd. That case is still pending that's why it would be a second conviction. That means the current charge from Monday's arrest would become DWI 3rd, making it more serious.
