BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A man was arrested after deputies located a missing juvenile during a follow-up investigation in West Bexar County, according to authorities.
Deputies responded around 10:16 a.m. on April 1 to the area of Potranco Road between Grosenbacher Road and Loop 1604 North, where the juvenile was believed to be staying with an adult male.
At the scene, deputies were directed to a small residential structure behind a home. They made contact with Jared Ortiz, who initially told deputies he had not seen the juvenile for several days and denied she was inside the structure.
When deputies called out to the juvenile by name, a female voice responded from inside, confirming her identity.
Ortiz was detained, and deputies located the juvenile inside the structure. She was safely removed from the residence and evaluated by EMS.
Ortiz was arrested and booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on a charge of harboring a runaway.
The investigation remains ongoing.
