BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A man accused of assaulting a woman while she was holding a three month old infant has been arrested following a domestic violence investigation in Atascosa, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded early Saturday morning, March 7th, to a gas station in the 16500 block of Shepherd Road after receiving a report of an assault involving a woman and her infant child.
Investigators said the incident began as a verbal argument. During the confrontation, the victim attempted to walk away from the suspect to seek safety.
Witnesses told deputies that the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Juan Cisneros, grabbed the woman by the hair and threw her to the ground while she was still holding the infant in her arms. Witnesses reported that the victim appeared extremely shaken as the suspect continued yelling at her while she was on the ground.
Cisneros fled the scene in a gray Ford Fusion before deputies arrived.
Following an investigation, deputies located and arrested Cisneros. He was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.
Cisneros faces charges of Assault Family Violence and Abandoning or Endangering a Child, according to the sheriff’s office.
