SAN ANTONIO, TX — A 32-year-old man is behind bars after a multi-week sting operation revealed a repetitive pattern of targeting undercover investigators posing as teenage girls across multiple jurisdictions.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Organized Crime Division, working alongside the United States Secret Service, arrested Brandon Michael Felan on Friday, May 22, 2026. He faces felony charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor.
The targeted investigation into Felan launched in April 2026 when he initiated online contact with an undercover BCSO investigator operating a covert account. Believing he was speaking with a 16-year-old girl, Felan transmitted a series of explicit, inappropriate messages and requested unlawful acts before abruptly cutting off communication.
The suspect later re-emerged on a different digital platform. Unwittingly, he connected with a second undercover investigator who was also posing as a 16-year-old girl. During this second wave of digital interactions, Felan again solicited explicit images and pressured the assumed minor for unlawful acts.
As cybercrime detectives built their case, database cross-referencing exposed an established history. Analysts uncovered a prior, unlinked law enforcement report from September 2025 in Boerne, Texas. In that historical instance, Felan had similarly targeted an undercover investigator who was posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Armed with a clear pattern of digital behavior, detectives established a physical meeting location with the suspect under the guise of the teenage persona.
Under heavy surveillance by tactical units, Felan traveled to the pre-arranged site. Deputies closed in and arrested him without incident in the 10700 block of Potranco Road in West San Antonio.
Felan was transported to the Bexar County Jail, where he remains in custody. Because Felan targeted multiple undercover personas and operates across city lines—including the previous investigation in Boerne—detectives are deeply concerned that there may be real minors in the community who have been victimized.
The investigation remains highly active. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is making a public appeal, urging anyone with information about Felan, his online handles, or potential undocumented incidents to contact their division directly at 210-335-6000.
