"It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Hurst Fire Department announces that Firefighter Jon Webb tragically passed away at his home on December 24.", said a release from the Hurst Fire Department.

Firefighter Webb was a devoted member of the department and served alongside us courageously for ten years. He is survived by his wife and two older stepsons.

“Firefighter Webb was one of the most knowledgeable firefighters you will ever know. His love for the job and service to the community exceeded his knowledge,” says Fire Chief David Palla. “We are all grieving the loss of our brother and lifting up his family during this incredibly painful time.”

Funeral arrangements will be provided when they are available.
