San Antonio Man Confesses to Shooting That Injured Child During Home Incident

Seth Segovia

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Seth Segovia in connection with an April 22, 2025 shooting in the Stone Oak area that left a juvenile girl injured.

Segovia arrived at BCSO Headquarters on November 17, 2025, and confessed to firing the shots that struck the victim. The original incident occurred in the 23000 block of Fairway Bridge, when the homeowner reported that his house had been shot at following an attempted vehicle break-in. His daughter, inside the home, was struck in the leg and treated with a tourniquet by her father before EMS arrived.

During the confession, Segovia admitted to returning to the residence because he believed he had left his phone there. He initially claimed to have fired from inside the vehicle but later clarified that he fired from outside before fleeing in the back passenger seat. He also admitted to firing additional rounds into the air after leaving the scene.

Segovia made conflicting statements about his clothing at the time and said he was under the influence during the incident. He could not recall the origin of the firearm or the stolen vehicle.

Segovia was arrested by CID investigators and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He remains in the Bexar County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
