Boerne, Texas - Kenneth Courtney Davis, 34, and Victoria Jan McDonald, 35, both of Boerne, have been sentenced in Kendall County for their roles in the December 2024 armed robbery of the Domino’s Pizza located on South Main Street.
Davis pleaded guilty to Aggravated Robbery (First-Degree Felony) with a deadly weapon enhancement and was sentenced to 25 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division (TDCJ-ID) and fined $5,000.
McDonald was found guilty of the same charge by a Kendall County jury this week and sentenced to 10 years in TDCJ-ID.
On December 29, 2024, at approximately 7:23 p.m., Boerne Police, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies, and Texas DPS troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Domino’s Pizza, 1375 South Main Street.
Witnesses reported that a male suspect brandished a handgun at employees while a female with pink-highlighted hair acted as a lookout near the door. The suspects fled in a white Mitsubishi SUV with approximately $120 in cash and rolled coins.
Surveillance footage confirmed McDonald as the driver of the Mitsubishi. The video showed her exiting the vehicle with Davis and entering the store, where Davis displayed a firearm and McDonald stood watch. When a customer arrived, McDonald warned Davis, and the two fled the scene.
Detective James Estrada of the Boerne Police Department led the investigation. After reviewing footage, he recognized both suspects and their vehicle as matching a pair connected to a separate case he was investigating. While still on scene, Domino’s management advised that similar suspects had recently robbed a San Antonio Domino’s location.
Within three hours of the Boerne robbery, Officer Zachary Reed located the Mitsubishi near the Oxbow Apartments. He conducted a traffic stop and detained Davis and McDonald, who were still wearing clothing seen in the surveillance video.
A search of the SUV uncovered several BB guns resembling handguns—including one with a red-taped grip identical to the weapon used in the robbery—as well as a sawed-off BB shotgun, Domino’s gift cards, rolled coin packages, narcotics, and drug paraphernalia.
A search of McDonald’s apartment recovered the tan cap worn by Davis during the robbery and a backpack filled with rolled coins.
Digital evidence and location data confirmed the suspects traveled to San Antonio after the robbery to purchase narcotics. Surveillance from a nearby Walmart showed the pair using cash and rolled coins consistent with the stolen money.
During sentencing, jurors heard testimony linking the defendants to two additional armed robberies in San Antonio. McDonald admitted involvement in both:
A December 21, 2024 robbery at Ross Dress for Less, La Cantera Parkway.
A December 22, 2024 robbery at Domino’s Pizza, Perrin Beitel Road.
Jurors also reviewed McDonald’s prior convictions for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft of Property.
This case was prosecuted by Kendall County Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Alessandra Deike and Derly Chapa on behalf of the State of Texas.
