San Antonio's Dogtober Festival Returns Oct. 25-26 with Pet Adoptions, Pumpkin Patch, and Family Fun

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One of San Antonio’s most popular fall traditions is back and bigger than ever. The Dogtober Pet Adoption Festival will take over San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) on October 25–26, offering a weekend full of adoptable pets, live entertainment, and seasonal fun.

The free, family-friendly event runs Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at 4710 State Highway 151, with expanded festivities extending to the San Antonio Food Bank next door.

Visitors can meet hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens available for adoption — many for the $25 Dogtober special — while enjoying activities like:

  • A massive pumpkin patch with free admission and photo ops

  • Live music from TikTok artists Haley Anna and Geanky Music

  • The Passport for Paws scavenger hunt

  • Interactive experiences like Puppies n’ Pilates and Furtunes by Madame Purrfecto

  • Food trucks, artisan vendors, and fall-themed activities for all ages

Partner shelters include San Antonio Pets Alive!, Animal Defense League, Footbridge Foundation, San Antonio Humane Society, and SNIPSA.

Complimentary parking and event trolleys will be available at Pre-K 4SA, 1235 Old Highway 90. For more information or to grab Early Access and Fast Paws passes, visit SAACS.info/dogtober.
