BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A prank involving a Netflix account spiraled into violence last week, ending with gunfire and the arrest of two 19-year-old men, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
Deputies say the incident began on September 23, when Brian Travis Reynolds allegedly changed the name on 20-year-old Vincent Munoz’s Netflix account to an insult. Feeling disrespected, Munoz agreed to fight Reynolds and his friend, Anthony Constante.
The confrontation took place outside a home in the 6000 block of Calle Briseno. Investigators say Reynolds and Constante jumped a fence to reach Munoz. During the fight, Reynolds allegedly handed a handgun from his waistband to Constante, who was seen on video striking Munoz while holding the weapon. The gun was then passed back to Reynolds, and a shot was fired during the struggle.
Munoz was left bleeding from the head, though investigators have not yet confirmed whether he was struck by a bullet or injured another way. Deputies later discovered the firearm had been illegally modified with a device known as a “switch,” converting it into a fully automatic weapon.
The BCSO issued an alert for Reynolds on September 25. Constante was arrested Friday, followed by Reynolds on Saturday. Both remain in custody as the investigation continues.
