San Angelo police confirmed that 35-year-old Enemencio DeLaRosa died from multiple gunshot wounds sustained on September 20 near 9th Street and Chadbourne Street.
The suspect, 34-year-old Alan Helms, was on the scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody without incident. Helms was initially charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and remains in the Tom Green County Jail on a $350,000 bond. Additional charges will be presented to a Grand Jury.
The investigation is ongoing.
