Seguin Police Department officers and the Criminal Apprehension and Street Enforcement (C.A.S.E.) Unit arrested a 17-year-old and her mother in connection with an aggravated robbery on August 20, 2025.
Police responded to the 2200 block of Louise Street after a victim reported he was robbed while attempting to sell jewelry. Investigators confirmed that Devon Buehrer, 17, of Seguin, threatened the victim with a firearm during the exchange. Jaquita Medrano, 38, of Seguin, Buehrer’s mother, was also present and actively involved in the robbery. The victim fled the scene and immediately contacted authorities.
On August 21, 2025, the C.A.S.E. Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of North Guadalupe Street on a vehicle occupied by Buehrer and Medrano. Officers recovered physical evidence linking both suspects to the robbery and found marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamines on Medrano.
Following interviews and evidence collection, the C.A.S.E. Unit obtained arrest warrants for Aggravated Robbery, a First-Degree Felony, issued by Judge William D. Old III of the 25th Judicial District Court of Guadalupe County.
Police have stated that the incident appears to be an isolated act of violence and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
