UVALDE, Texas — The Uvalde Police Department partnered with multiple agencies over the past two weeks to carry out a coordinated compliance operation targeting registered sex offenders across Uvalde County.
Dubbed “Operation Swan Song,” the initiative involved 67 compliance checks conducted by a joint task force that included the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Service, Homeland Security Investigations, Texas Department of Public Safety and the 38th District Attorney’s Office.
Officials said the operation resulted in four offenders being found out of compliance, with warrants currently being sought. Two arrests were made, including one individual with an active warrant from a prior compliance check and another for a probation violation.
“The safety of our families is non-negotiable,” said Police Chief Homer Delgado. “Operation Swan Song sends a clear message: we are watching, we are unified, and we will hold offenders accountable to the letter of the law.”
Additional support was provided by the Uvalde County Constable’s Office, Uvalde County Adult Probation, Uvalde EMS and the Office of Emergency Management.
Authorities said the operation is part of an ongoing effort to ensure registered offenders remain in compliance and to enhance community safety.
