San Marcos Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, during a meetup arranged for an online sale near Monterrey Oak and Rattler Road.

The victim reported that while meeting with a buyer, two masked men armed with firearms approached and robbed him of his items, cash, and cell phone. The suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle. The victim flagged down a nearby officer to report the incident.

Shortly after the robbery, a man arrived at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital with what appeared to be an accidental gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken into custody on unrelated warrants. Investigators are working to determine whether the individual is connected to the robbery.

San Marcos Police Department urges anyone who was in the area and may have seen anything suspicious to call 512-753-2108. The case remains under active investigation.
