Former San Antonio Police Officer Arrested on Continuous Child Sexual Abuse Charges

Carlos Alonzo Taboada, a licensed peace officer since 2003, was arrested on May 5, 2025, by San Antonio Police and charged with Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 14, a first-degree felony.

The alleged abuse reportedly dates back to January 1, 2018. He was not employed as a police officer at the time of the incident.

Taboada's career includes 11 years with Bexar County Constable Precinct 2 (2006–2017), short stints with Schertz Police Department and Caldwell County, and multiple appointments with the Grey Forest Police Department, including his most recent from August 2023 to May 2025, ending after his arrest. He is no longer employed with Grey Forest PD.

Taboada has been released on a $125,000 bond, with conditions including GPS monitoring, a firearm restriction, and no-contact orders.

A pre-indictment hearing has been scheduled in Bexar County for Thursday, July 10th.
