The Yoakum Police Department, with assistance from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office, and the Cuero Police Department, executed an arrest and search warrant Wednesday, June 25th, at a residence within Yoakum city limits. This operation was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

The multi-agency effort resulted in the recovery of illegal substances and the arrest of an individual involved in criminal drug activity.

"This is part of our continued and determined effort to protect our community from the dangers of illegal drugs," stated the Yoakum Police Department. "We are thankful for the strong partnerships with our fellow agencies, which allow us to carry out operations like this effectively and safely."

Authorities issued a stern warning to others involved in similar criminal activity: "We are actively investigating, and we are coming for you. We will continue working day and night to hold offenders accountable and keep our neighborhoods safe."
