On Friday, July 14, 2023, the Fredericksburg Police Department responded to a series of stolen vehicle reports within the city, with three incidents occurring in close proximity to each other. The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and provide any information they may have regarding the thefts.
The first victim contacted the Fredericksburg Police Department shortly after 6:00 A.M. to report their stolen vehicle. Since then, two additional thefts and one burglary have been reported, with the incidents taking place in different locations across the city.
The stolen vehicles, their respective case numbers, descriptions, and locations are as follows:

Case Number: 2023-00013742 Vehicle Description: GMC Yukon XL Location: 800 block of Gray Oak Court Status: Recovered by San Antonio Police Department
Case Number: 2023-00013743 Vehicle Description: Dodge Challenger Location: 100 block of Green Meadows Boulevard Status: Not recovered
Additionally, a separate incident involving a burglary was reported:
The Fredericksburg Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division has been actively involved in processing evidence from several of the vehicles. They are currently working on obtaining video surveillance footage that may aid in identifying potential suspects involved in these crimes.
Authorities have discovered that a majority of the stolen vehicles had been left unlocked, with personal belongings left inside. This serves as a reminder for residents to secure their vehicles and refrain from leaving valuables unattended.
