One-Vehicle Accident in Pipe Creek Leaves One Dead and Multiple Injured


A devastating one-vehicle accident on Wednesday, July 12, has left one person dead and several others injured. The incident occurred at approximately 6:04 p.m. near the intersection of Hwy. 16 South and Hwy. 46, prompting a swift response from local authorities.

Upon receiving the emergency call, the Pipe Creek, Castle Lake, and Bandera Volunteer Fire Departments, along with the Bandera County EMS and Bandera County Sheriff's Office, rushed to the scene. The first responders encountered a vehicle engulfed in flames, and their immediate focus shifted towards rescuing the occupants and controlling the fire.

According to Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King, the vehicle was carrying multiple individuals at the time of the accident. Two of the occupants required immediate medical attention and were airlifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. The severity of their injuries remains undisclosed at this time.

Tragically, amidst the chaos, one person lost their life. The individual was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries shortly after arrival. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of their family members.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has taken charge of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
