Hays County Deputies Arrest Suspect in Series of Family Violence Incidents

Carlos Padilla

The Hays County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Carlos Padilla, a suspect wanted for multiple serious family violence offenses, including unlawful restraint, interference with a 911 call, terroristic threat, and assault on a pregnant person.

On December 21, deputies from Patrol Shift 1 responded to the 2100 block of Mathias Lane for a family violence assault. However, the suspect fled the scene before their arrival. Despite an extensive search of the area, the suspect remained at large. Later that same day, deputies responded to another reported assault at the same location, but the suspect had fled again.

Following the incidents, deputies obtained arrest warrants for Padilla. On December 22, Patrol Shift 1 deputies coordinated an arrest operation, surrounding the suspect’s residence and successfully apprehending him without incident.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office commended Patrol Shift 1 for their teamwork and dedication in resolving the case.
