On Thurday, April 4, 2024, at approximately 3:10am, New Braunfels Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on a silver Chevy Silverado pickup truck on Creekside Way.

During the stop, K-9 Sophie signaled to the vehicle, leading to the discovery of around 360 pounds of marijuana. The driver, 39-year-old Manuel Roy Martinez Jr. from Laredo, was arrested without resistance and taken to Comal County Jail.

Martinez Jr. faces a second-degree felony charge for Delivery of Marijuana, with the quantity ranging from 50 to 2000 pounds.
