On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 10:28 pm, deputies responded to a shooting incident in the 5600 block of Wakita Dr. in rural Edinburg, Texas. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive male with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the 23-year-old victim, identified as Michael Daniel Arevalo from Edinburg, Texas, deceased at the scene.
Major Crime Investigators and Crime Scene Specialists are currently at the location, conducting interviews with witnesses and gathering evidence to identify the suspect(s).
