On December 6, 2023, at around 1:50 pm, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Interdiction Unit made a significant drug bust on Toll 130 at Patriot Way. A California-plated rental vehicle was pulled over, and a subsequent probable cause search revealed two duffle bags in the trunk containing approximately 52 lbs. of suspected marijuana.

The driver, a 30-year-old Hispanic male from San Antonio, was en route from Love County, Oklahoma, to San Antonio, Texas, when he was apprehended in Williamson County. He now faces charges for Possession of Marijuana 50 lbs. < 2000 lbs., a second-degree felony.

Law enforcement officials have not disclosed additional details at this time. The suspect is currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
