In Kerrville, the Kerr County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting in the 100 block of Hilltop Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered 61-year-old Christy Burns with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Kerrville Fire Department EMS rushed Burns to Peterson Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased. Subsequently, her 63-year-old sister, Carrie Burns, was arrested for Murder and booked into Kerr County Jail.
The incident is currently under investigation by authorities.
