On November 14, 2023, at 3:00 PM, Hidalgo County Sheriff Deputies responded to a distress call in the 9200 block of Guadalupe Drive in rural Donna, Texas, reporting a Structure Fire.

Upon arrival, deputies and local Fire Departments discovered the residence completely engulfed in flames. Family members informed authorities that a 4-year-old male child might still be inside the burning house. Firefighters, after successfully extinguishing the blaze, sadly found the lifeless body of the child amidst the charred remains.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Investigators, in collaboration with the Hidalgo County Fire Marshal's Office Investigators, arrived at the scene to initiate a joint investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the fire and the tragic loss of the young child are currently under investigation. Authorities urge anyone with information related to this incident to come forward.
