In the early hours of November 19, 2023, emergency services were dispatched to a devastating multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of State Highway 46 N and Cordova Road.
At approximately 12:54 am, the Seguin Police Department and Seguin Fire Department rushed to the scene, discovering a Chrysler 300 engulfed in flames and a Jeep Cherokee severely damaged from the impact. Shortly after the initial collision, two other vehicles struck debris scattered across the roadway, prompting evaluation of those drivers by Seguin EMS.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that the Jeep Cherokee, traveling southbound on State Highway 46 N, had veered into the northbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision with the Chrysler 300. Tragically, both drivers, identified as Natalie Jean Gage-Avila, 23, from New Braunfels, and Marcus Keshawn Harris, 37, from Luling, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
An occupant of one of the additional vehicles involved was transported by Seguin EMS to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing by the police department.
