Teen Wanted for Aggravated Assault Leads Seguin Police in High-Speed Pursuit, Remains At-Large

Wanted: Jeffery Rodriguez Jr

On November 16, 2023, at approximately 2:30 pm, the Seguin Police Department Criminal Apprehension and Street Enforcement Unit (C.A.S.E) along with members of the Guadalupe County Narcotics Task Force attempted to conduct a traffic stop on wanted individual, 18-year-old Jeffery Rodriguez Jr of Seguin. Rodriguez Jr. has an outstanding arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon out of Guadalupe County.

Rodriguez, accompanied by two other males, failed to yield to Seguin PD officers when the attempted traffic stop was initiated. This led to a high-speed pursuit, with speeds exceeding 100 mph. Due to concerns for public safety and the safety of officers involved, the pursuit was terminated.

During the pursuit, Seguin Police Department notified Seguin Independent School District officials of the police presence in the area around Court and Hwy 46.

As of now, Rodriguez Jr. remains at large and is wanted on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon that occurred in Seguin. Authorities emphasize that Rodriguez Jr. should be considered armed and dangerous. Law enforcement officials believe he may still be in the vicinity of Guadalupe County, Texas.

Seguin Police Department strongly encourages anyone with information regarding Rodriguez Jr’s whereabouts to call the Criminal Investigations Division at 830-379-2123, or Guadalupe Crime Stoppers at 1-877-403-8477 (TIPS).

This case continues to remain under investigation.
