Shavano Park Police Reports on Two Arrests for DWI and Burglary of Vehicle

Driving While Intoxicated - On Saturday morning, October 28th, just before midnight, officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of DeZavala Road for a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers conducting their crash investigation determined that the driver at fault displayed signs of intoxication. The driver was transported to a facility for a test of their breath, which indicated that the driver exceeded the state law threshold of .08. Subsequently, the driver was transported to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center and booked on a charge of DWI.

Burglary of Vehicle - On Wednesday evening, November 1st, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Box Oak for a reported vehicle burglary. The complainant reported walking outside and observing unknown individuals inside their vehicles. The subjects, upon seeing the complainant, fled the location in a black sedan. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the individuals in question. At the time of the report, it appeared that no property had been taken from inside the unlocked vehicles. This case has been referred to criminal investigations for further inquiry.
