Corpus Christi Police Officer Shoots and Fatally Wounds Individual at House Party

On October 7, 2023, a Corpus Christi police officer responded to a disturbance call at a residence located on the 6100 block of Angelique Court and Masterson Dr in Corpus Christi, Texas. The call, regarding a loud house party, took a deadly turn when the officer arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, the officer witnessed an individual firing shots into an occupied vehicle. Responding to the imminent threat to a third party, the officer discharged their weapon, striking the individual and halting the ongoing danger.

Immediate life-saving measures were initiated by the officer, and emergency medical services were called to the scene. The wounded individual was  taken to a nearby local hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

The officer has been placed on administrative leave at this time, in accordance with current department practice and policy.
