WILSON COUNTY, Texas - A late-night burglary in Wilson County led to the arrest of a suspect who allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle into a business before attempting to flee.
Just after midnight on March 17, 2026, deputies responded to a burglary in progress at Bradley’s Food Mart at the intersection of FM 1303 and FM 2579 in Floresville, TX. A caller reported that a suspect had driven a vehicle into the closed store and was stealing merchandise.
When deputies arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene in the vehicle. The vehicle was later found abandoned nearby.
While searching the area, deputies discovered signs of forced entry at another business at the same intersection. Deputies entered the building and located a man hiding inside.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Tyler Wright of San Antonio, was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators later determined the vehicle used in the initial burglary had been reported stolen out of Bexar County the day before.
Wright has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and burglary of a building, both state jail felonies. Authorities say he is also a person of interest in additional crimes, and more charges may be filed.
He is currently being held at the Wilson County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office credited deputies for their quick response and thanked the Texas Department of Public Safety for assisting in the apprehension. Officials also noted that the arrest was made possible in part due to alert community members who reported suspicious activity.
