Daniel Adam Buruato, 34, a fugitive listed on the Texas Most Wanted Offender list, was apprehended by law enforcement authorities in San Antonio. Buruato was captured by members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, along with DPS Special Agents. The arrest was a result of a joint operation involving multiple agencies, including the TDCJ-Office of Inspector General (OIG), Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Attorney General’s Office, and New Braunfels Police Department.
Buruato, who had been on the run since February 2022, was wanted for his failure to register as a sex offender in Bexar County. His arrest culminated a diligent multi-agency investigation. Buruato had previously been convicted in 2012 of indecency with a child by sexual contact, following an incident involving a 6-year-old girl. He was subsequently sentenced to four years of confinement in a TDCJ facility.
Authorities have not released further details about the arrest at this time.
