On September 5, 2023, San Antonio police were called to a Southwest Side apartment complex on a reported shooting. The shooting happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex of South General McMullen near Roselawn Road
As a result, a man is dead and a teenage boy is hospitalized. According to detectives, an argument led to gunfire.
Police said two vehicles were facing each other at the entrance of the apartment complex. People in both vehicles were arguing with each other when someone pulled a gun and opened fire on the other car, hitting two people inside.
The suspects drove off. Officers found a 37-year-old man with several gunshot wounds to the chest. He was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Within minutes of finding the man, a 16-year-old boy showed up at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to his right eye.
