SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Two people have been arrested nearly a year after investigators say they helped sell the gun used in the fatal shooting of Alianna Nicole Ujueta in southwest Bexar County.
Angel Marchan, 19, and Michael Martinez, 23, were indicted and taken into custody this week on felony charges of tampering with physical evidence.
The case stems from the Sept. 28, 2025, shooting in the 13900 block of Luckey Road.
Deputies responded after a 911 caller reported an altercation in which a young woman had been shot and killed. When deputies arrived, they found Ujueta dead at the scene.
Investigators later identified Deshawn Suggs as the person they believe shot and killed Ujueta before fleeing.
According to investigators, Marchan and Martinez were both present when the shooting occurred and witnessed what happened. Authorities said both knew Suggs had shot Ujueta.
Investigators allege Suggs gave the firearm used in the shooting to Marchan and Martinez afterward in an effort to get rid of evidence.
Marchan and Martinez then worked together to sell the gun despite knowing it was evidence in a homicide investigation, authorities said.
Investigators eventually identified the pair's alleged roles in disposing of the weapon, leading to their indictments and arrests on felony evidence-tampering charges.
Suggs was the subject of several arrest warrants following Ujueta's killing. He was never arrested in her death.
Authorities said that shortly after the warrants were issued, Suggs was himself killed in an unrelated homicide. That case is being investigated by the San Antonio Police Department.
