SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A narcotics investigation in San Antonio's Tobin Hill neighborhood resulted in the seizure of multiple illegal drugs, a loaded handgun and the arrest of a man on several felony drug charges, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies executed a narcotics search warrant at approximately noon on July 29 at a residence in the 400 block of East Evergreen.
Authorities said 51-year-old John Cucheran was detained without incident as deputies searched the home.
During the search, investigators recovered two bags of methamphetamine, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, amphetamine pills, codeine pills, THC vape cartridges, DMT vape cartridges, bottles of GHB, a digital scale and a backpack containing a fully loaded Taurus handgun.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies seized approximately:
71.3 grams of methamphetamine
11.8 grams of cocaine
6.3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
Approximately 4 grams of THC vape cartridges
Cucheran was booked into the Bexar County Jail on three counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 (4 to 200 grams), one count of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 (4 to 400 grams), one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 (1 to 4 grams), and a probation violation warrant out of El Paso.
The investigation remains ongoing.
