Wanted Felony Suspect Arrested in San Antonio Following Surveillance Operation

Justin Kenneth Vollmer

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A 41-year-old wanted felony suspect was taken into custody after San Antonio police officers conducted a surveillance operation that led to his arrest without incident.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, North SAFFE Officer Garcia and the department's Covert Unit developed information during an investigation indicating that Justin Kenneth Vollmer was staying at a residence in the city.

While conducting surveillance, officers observed Vollmer driving erratically as he traveled to and from the residence. Officer Garcia requested additional officers to assist with taking him into custody.

Investigators later saw Vollmer park at a nearby business and enter the establishment. Additional officers, including SAFFE Officers Castellanos, Sanchez, Sampson and Kretzer, responded to assist with the arrest.

Police said Vollmer attempted to flee after leaving the business and spotting officers by getting back into his vehicle. Officers were able to safely take him into custody without further incident.

During a search following the arrest, officers reported finding a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Vollmer was also booked on several outstanding warrants, including:

  • Evading arrest.

  • Assault causing family violence by strangulation.

  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

  • A Guadalupe County warrant alleging theft of property valued at more than $2,500 with two previous convictions.

The additional drug-related charges, if any, were not immediately released.

Authorities did not provide further details about the original investigations that led to the outstanding warrants.

The arrest remains under investigation. All charges are allegations, and Vollmer is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
