BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A 21-year-old man was arrested after deputies said an infant suffered a broken femur during an incident Friday night in Bexar County.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded around 10:36 p.m. on May 15, 2026, after receiving reports that an infant had sustained a broken leg bone.

Investigators said deputies determined a family member became upset with the child and forcibly pressed on the infant’s femur, causing the injury.

Authorities identified the suspect as 21-year-old Jonathan David Moreno.

Moreno was taken into custody and booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on a charge of Injury to a Child with Intent to Cause Serious Bodily Injury.

Officials said Moreno was released on bond Saturday.

The sheriff’s office encouraged people experiencing overwhelming stress or anger to seek help from trusted family members, friends, or law enforcement before a situation escalates and harms a child.
