SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitive has been captured in San Antonio after authorities acted on tip information, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Herbert Lee Souvenir, 47, was taken into custody April 17 at a residence on the south side of the city. Officials said members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, along with multiple state and local agencies, located and arrested him without incident. Texas Highway Patrol troopers also assisted in the operation.

Souvenir had been wanted out of Guadalupe County since January 2026 on a charge of sexual assault with enhanced penalties due to prior convictions.

Authorities said Souvenir has a criminal history that includes a 1998 conviction for aggravated sexual assault of a child involving an 8-year-old victim, for which he was sentenced to 12 years in prison. In March 2022, he was convicted of assault causing bodily injury to a family member, followed months later by a conviction for burglary of a habitation, resulting in eight years of probation.

Officials said a Texas Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000 will be paid for information leading to his arrest.
