SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A San Antonio-area man has been arrested following a multi-week undercover operation targeting online solicitation of minors.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Division identified 59-year-old Lawrence Edward Paul as the suspect after receiving a tip from the United States Secret Service during the first week of March 2026. Investigators were alerted to suspected online activity involving a minor.
Undercover deputies began communicating with Paul, who believed he was speaking with a 15-year-old girl. As the investigation continued, authorities said he also engaged with what he believed to be a second juvenile, age 17.
Investigators documented what they described as a clear and ongoing pattern of grooming behavior, along with intent to meet for illicit purposes.
Paul later agreed to meet one of the supposed juveniles at a parking lot in the 6300 block of Northwest Loop 410. When he arrived, deputies took him into custody without incident.
Following the arrest, investigators executed search warrants at Paul’s residence and on his electronic devices as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities are asking anyone who may have had inappropriate or illicit communication with Paul, or who may have additional information, to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
