SEGUIN, Texas - A man is in custody after allegedly threatening customers and attempting to flee officers at a Seguin business.
On March 19, 2026, at approximately 11:20 a.m., Seguin Police officers responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of East Kingsbury Street.
According to authorities, a man later identified as 28-year-old Alex Baltierra of Caldwell County entered the business and began making threats to cause serious injury to random customers. The incident caused fear and alarm among several people inside.
Officers located Baltierra outside the business, where he attempted to run from police. He was quickly apprehended without further incident.
During the investigation, officers discovered Baltierra had two active warrants for his arrest.
He was transported to the Guadalupe County Jail.
Police credited the quick coordination and teamwork of responding officers for safely resolving the situation.
