Three Arrested After Shots Fired Call Leads to Police Chase in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, Texas - Three individuals were taken into custody early Wednesday morning after a shots fired call led to a police pursuit in San Angelo.

On March 18, 2026, at approximately 1:03 a.m., officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched after reports of gunfire. Dispatch advised that a suspect vehicle had fled the scene.

Responding officers soon located a vehicle matching the description traveling without headlights. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over, and a pursuit was initiated.

The chase ended in the 1700 block of Hassell Street, where officers detained the occupants without incident.

Police identified those arrested as 18-year-old Cameron Anderson, 18-year-old Michael Gutierrez, and a 15-year-old male.

All three face charges including Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle. Anderson’s bond was set at $300,000, while Gutierrez’s bond was set at $250,000. Information regarding the juvenile was not released.

The San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is continuing to investigate the case. No additional details are being released at this time.
