Schertz, TX — A targeted narcotics operation conducted by the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a man facing multiple drug and weapons charges.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Special Investigations Bureau Narcotics Unit, working alongside the department’s SWAT team, carried out the operation on March 5 in Schertz.
Authorities arrested Raymundo Ruvalcaba during the operation.
Investigators reported seizing approximately 38.54 grams of cocaine and two firearms during the arrest. One of the firearms was confirmed to be stolen.
Ruvalcaba was transported to the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center where he faces several charges including manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 between four and 200 grams involving cocaine, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, theft of a firearm, evading arrest or detention and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.
Officials also said Ruvalcaba was booked on active warrants from Bexar County for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 between four and 200 grams, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and a parole violation.
The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges could be filed.
