Guadalupe County Deputies Searching for Armed Suspect After McQueeney Shooting

GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas — Authorities are searching for a suspect accused of shooting a man Sunday night in the McQueeney area.

On March 1, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies with the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Old McQueeney Road.

When deputies arrived, they located a 43-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center, where officials say he is expected to recover.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division processed the scene, collected evidence, and identified the suspect as Camrine Russell Chissell, of McQueeney.

A warrant has been issued charging Chissell with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Authorities say Chissell remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous. The investigation remains ongoing.
